Your very own READ poster

At PLA’s Turning the Page: Building Your Library Community training (a wonderful library advocacy and sustainability seminar given to librarians and library supporters from public libraries who receive Online Opportunity Hardware Grants for public computers from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation), they’ll make you your very own READ poster.

That’s not the only way to get one though.  Thanks to Joe Kraus for pointing me to ALA’s READ poster site where you can create your own.

But, if you do get the chance to go to this training, grab it (the training was offered free to PLA members at their 2008 conference and will be repeated at the 2009 Spring Symposium)!  You’ll be energized with loads of ideas about how to help your community during the economic crisis and how to show the necessity of library services to officials trying to slash your budget.
