I’m delighted to announce that registration for the Reference Renaissance: Inventing the Future conference is now open. It promises to be a wonderful learning and networking opportunity. The 2008 conference was a huge success with 70 sessions and nearly 500 attendees from five countries and 41 U.S. states. As attendee Debbie Rossman from Westlake Porter Public Library in Ohio reflected “…this was absolutely the best conference I have ever attended. I feel recharged! Wonderful ideas and terrific enthusiasm.”
Plus it’s in Colorado in August, the most beautiful time of the year to visit – our high moutain meadows are patchwork quilts of wildflowers – it’s absolutely breathtaking. With $89 hotel rates at the Marriot Denver Tech Center available for a few days pre and post conference, consider bringing the family and showing them the “Switzerland of America.”
And you even have a couple of days left to submit a proposal to present a workshop, panel, paper, report from the field, or Pecha Kucha as the deadline is 4/22, so tell us about the new and innovative things you are doing. Attendees presenting papers or reports from the field even have an opportunity to get published as they can submit them to Marie Radford who will edit the conference proceedings that Neal-Schuman will publish.
